Pictured above are my May TBR picks from my TBR Bingo challenge.
CHALLENGE ONE:
“Read a full series”
Book: Scythe and Thunderhead|Neal Shusterman
I think this series is one of my first fantasy purchases when I created my bookstagram account last year. I don’t know why I haven’t managed to pick it up sooner but I am very excited to give it a go. I have heard such positive things about his series and I really hope that I enjoy it too.
CHALLENGE TWO:
“Read a graphic novel”
Book: The Steel Prince | V.E. Schwab
It is a well know fact that I absolutely love V.E. Schwab, she is an auto buy author and I have loved all of the books of hers that I have read so far. I bought this at the author meet in Nottingham that I attended earlier this year, it has been staring at me for so long but I am so excited to pick it up this month!
CHALLENGE THREE:
“Read a middle-grade book”
Book: The School of Good and Evil | Soman Chainani
I picked this book up a couple of months ago as it was in the buy on get one half price offer at Waterstones. I literally cannot resist a special offer on books. I really liked the idea of this series, it gave me Harry Potter and Nevermore vibes … two of my favourite books. I haven’t really seen this on instagram before, maybe the hype was before my time but I am looking forward to reading it and maybe discovering another favourite series?
CHALLENGE FOUR:
“Read a library book”
Book: Cinder | Marissa Meyer
I love picking out this challenge for my bingo challenge as it means I have a good excuse to go to the library. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen this time. This pick came just at the right time as I have had Cinder out of the library for almost a month and it is due to go back. I have previously unhealed this book because I didn’t think I would like it but when I saw it at the library I decided I needed to try and read it before I disregarded it. Im intrigued to see what I think about this book.
CHALLENGE FIVE:
“Read an Ebook”
Book: Enchantèe | Gita Trelease
This is another long awaited challenge to come up. I have a ridiculous amount of ebooks to get through on Netgalley, things are starting to get out of hand. I decided to pick up Enchantèe this month as it is one of the oldest ones that I have and I also have a physical copy so I can choose which one I would like to pick up at any given time. I’ve heard mixed opinions of this book so this is another that I am intrigued to get to.
THAT’S A WRAP:
So there we have it! My May 2019 TBR Bingo picks. I have a wide variety of books here and a lot of pages to read so I better get a move on. I will post my results at the start of June in the “wrap up” part of this blog. Stay tuned!
