“Ever had a flying burrito hit you? Well, it’s a deadly projectile, right up there with cannonballs and grenades.”

RATING:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SYNOPSIS:
It’s not everyday you find yourself in combat with a half-lion, half-human.
But when you’re the son of a Greek god, it happens. And now my friend Annabeth is missing, a goddess is in chains and only five half-blood heroes can join the quest to defeat the doomsday monster.
Oh, and guess what? The Oracle has predicted that not all of us will survive…
REVIEW:
Two words: Burrito fight. Perhaps my favourite scene ever in a book. However I did question as to why you would think about wasting a burrito. Now I want a Burrito …
I am finding it hard to review these books as the series progresses only due to the fact that the things I am enjoying are exactly the same that I enjoyed previously.
The writing style, is so jam packed with action I find that I cannot put the book down once I have picked it up. I read this one … and the fourth book in the same day because once I started I just wanted to read more and more. Rick Riordan has a clever style with writing his endings as I immediately need to pick up the next book to find out what happens next.
I love the characters, I missed the lack Tyson who I grew to absolutely love in the previous book. One unique thing about this book is the introduction of new characters such as Bianca and Nico. I think they may be new favourites of mine, they are so mysterious and intriguing. I also enjoyed the introduction of Artemis and the hunters. WHAT A GIRL GANG. If I had to choose I think I would be with them, so much sass and strong females. YES.
There is always something going on in this series and I cant wait to find out what happens next. Wait, as I am writing this review I already know what happens next because I have no self control and I already have finished the next book.
